Job

The Almighty uses this word when questioning Satan regarding Job. He asks on the first day that the sons of Eloheem appear before him (Job 1:8), "hast though considered my servant Job"?


The interesting thing is however the way Satan answeres this question, namely in that he does not state simply yes or no, but instead rather seems to be complaining as to why his work has been unsuccessful. Satan states that:

  1. Job 1:10 Hast though not made a hedge about him, his house and all that he has? This "hedge" has also been made on "every side".
    • Sounds to me like Satan has done a thorough investigation and is completely up to date with the facts and circumstances?
  2. Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land
