Here we find Noah cursing Canaan and declaring him a "servant", but what exactly does that mean? The word used in this verse is H5650 עבד which means a ''servant'' and originates from H5647 which is a root word meaning to ''work'' and by implication to ''serve, till, enslave.'' This root word is used in
Gen49:14-15 Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens. And he saw that rest was good and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear and became a servant(H5647) unto tribute.
Exo12:44-45 But every man's servant(H5650) that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof. A foreigner and a hired servant(H7916) shall not eat thereof.
Lev22:10 There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or a hired servant (H7916) shall not eat of the holy thing.

H7936 - a primitive root to H3739 through the idea of a temporary ''purchase.'' Compare H7937; to ''hire''
H3739 - שׂכר - ; From H7986; ''payment'' of contract; concretely ''salary, fare, maintenance;'' by implication ''compensation, benefit.''
H7937 - שׂכר - to ''become tipsy;'' in a qualified sense, to ''satiate'' with a stimulating drink or (figuratively) influence.
Exo33:11 And yahuah spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant (H8334) Joshua the son of Nun, a young man (H5288) departed not out of the tabernacle.
H8334 - שׁרת - a primitive root; to ''attend'' as a menial or worshipper; figuratively to ''contribute'' to.
H5288 - נער - From H5287 - a ''boy'', from the sage of infancy to adolescence; by implication a ''servant'',  could also be a girl.
